Bob Woodward says the "agony of command" falls hard on Obama. That agony -- the weight of war -- is felt less by republicans, in general. Republicans tend to always opt for the military option. They're less ready to use diplomacy, which doesn't match up with what's needed in the modern world.
They don't seem to weigh the decision to go to war as carefully as democrats, in general, and Obama, especially. I don't think there will ever be a Commander in Chief like Obama. Many republican voters will never know that because they only know the imaginary Obama they invented for themselves.
John McCain was on the show demonstrating his republican credentials. He's still insisting we should go into Syria. We have to stop thinking that our military can solve everyone's problems.
