Gates Says We Don't Dare Turn Our Backs on Afghanistan

Robert Gates talks about the war stuff, MRAPs and such. He says if there's one lesson he's drawn from the past it's that the U.S. and the international community needs to stay engaged. "We don't dare turn our back on Afghanistan," he said. This will work. Afghanis don't like the Taliban. They want jobs. What's most important to the Afghans is not what the U.S. says but what their government says. Probably why Hamid Karzai was summoned to DC  recently.
