Romney Uses Mormon Church to Defer Taxes for 15 Years
Note that this information was dug up using a freedom of information request, a tool that journalists use to get information that people want to keep secret. This didn't come from Mitt, nor did his campaign comment.

I'm not sure how persuasive this is for Obama, but it expresses how a lot of us are feeling right about now.
An estimated 90 million people won't vote this election year. Don't take voting for granted, even if you live in blue states. If Obama doesn't win the popular vote, the media will incessantly blather on and on for weeks. If there isn't a decisive winner, the media will blather on for weeks and weeks. If you need only one reason to vote, think of the Supreme Court or staying out of another war.
Liberals have made an idol of Nate Silver, but 538, a professional gambler and
mathematician, doesn't want to be stoned if Obama loses, so he points to this. I have a feeling the pollsters are going to be extremely wrong this year. I'm still predicting an Obama landslide or a Romney squeaker.

If Obama wins, ousting Obama will be off the table for the republicans. They will have lost that shameful strategic battle they agreed to on day one of Obama's first term. Waterloo will have failed. Romney's Campaign is an Insult to Voters
THROUGH ALL the flip-flops, there has been one consistency in the campaign of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney: a contempt for the electorate.
How else to explain his refusal to disclose essential information? Defying recent bipartisan tradition, he failed to release the names of his bundlers — the high rollers who collected hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations. He never provided sufficient tax returns to show voters how he became rich.
How, other than an assumption that voters are too dim to remember what Mr. Romney has said across the years and months, to account for his breathtaking ideological shifts? He was a friend of immigrants, then a scourge of immigrants, then again a friend. He was a Kissingerian foreign policy realist, then a McCain-like hawk, then a purveyor of peace. He pioneered Obamacare, he detested Obamacare, then he found elements in it to cherish. Assault weapons were bad, then good. Abortion was okay, then bad. Climate change was an urgent problem; then, not so much. Hurricane cleanup was a job for the states, until it was once again a job for the feds. Read on at WaPo

Economy Adds 171,000 Jobs in October
The economy added more than the expected 125K jobs. 578,000 more people started looking for a job, which is why the unemployment rate ticked up.
U.S. employers added 171,000 jobs in October, and hiring was stronger in August and September than first thought. The unemployment rate inched up to 7.9 percent from 7.8 percent in September.
The Labor Department’s last look at hiring before Tuesday’s election sketched a picture of a job market that’s gradually gaining momentum after nearly stalling in the spring.
Since July, the economy has created an average of 173,000 jobs a month. That’s up from 67,000 a month from April through June.

Romney jumps from here to there and everywhere on every issue. The only way to know what Romney would actually do is to look at the people who brung him to the dance: The Koch brothers, Sheldon Adelson, Big Business.... What do they want? They want to be able to do business with as little regulations as possible. They have no concern for climate change or the welfare of people. They care about profits. Sheldon wants a strike on Iran. The tea party and the right wing, which make up the GOP these days, want a government like we've never known it to be. I'm all for smaller government, but I'd much rather see us preserve safety nets.
“I believe that FEMA plays a key role in working with states and localities to prepare for and respond to natural disasters,” he said. “As president, I will ensure FEMA has the funding it needs to fulfill its mission, while directing maximum resources to the first responders who work tirelessly to help those in need, because states and localities are in the best position to get aid to the individuals and communities affected by natural disasters.”
But during a GOP primary debate sponsored by CNN in June 2011, Romney was specifically asked about FEMA’s role in the government and whether states should play a larger role in disaster response. ABC
