Petraeus Testimony Supports Susan Rice

Right winger Peter King also seems to say as much.

Petraeus' testimony supported U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice.

Rice, who could be nominated for Secretary of State by President Obama, has been accused by Republicans of trying to mislead the country by saying the attack was a spontaneous eruption rather than a failure to defend against a terrorist attack.

"Ambassador Rice used the unclassified talking points that the entire intelligence community signed off on, so she did the appropriate thing," Conrad said.

Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., also indicate the testimony bolstered Rice.

"I think it's important that the character of the U.N. ambassador be clarified and our understanding from hearing two days of testimony that in fact what the U.N. ambassador stated was the talking points that had been given, approved, declassified to the House Intelligence Committee," Nelson said.
