Bishops Never Supported Healthcare Reform

In today's White House press briefing, Jay Carney points out that Catholic Bishops have been against healthcare reform, aligning themselves with the GOP. Bishops don't believe in the death penalty either, so why don't we see them getting their flock in line on that issue? We never, ever hear about that.
