U.S. Sen. Al Franken said "one way or the other" a health care reform bill will pass Congress.
But another hurdle could be ahead, depending on the outcome of Tuesday's special Senate election in Massachusetts.
Democrat Martha Coakley had been considered a shoo-in just months ago, but polls now show the race is a statistical dead heat. Republican candidate Scott Brown has vowed to be the 41st vote against President Barack Obama's domestic agenda.
Franken said Coakley probably took the race for granted. But the Minnesota Democrat also blames what he describes as misinformation put out by Republicans during the drawn-out health care debate. MPR

Al Franken Says Health Care Coming
I agree with Franken 100%. Health care is coming one way or another and republicans made mincemeat out of healthcare with misinformation, exaggeration, hyperventilation. Who's really the desperate party? Republicans always resort to fear politics, which they know works on Americans. The sole strategy of the GOP to get back in power is to oppose healthcare, to make it Obama's waterloo. Opposing healthcare was also a big part of Scott Brown's strategy. Even the media has bought in with headlines like: Obama's agenda on the line. Obama's going to still be president if Brown is elected and things are still going to get done.
