Right now, fiscal responsibility is what bonds the tea party.
Katie Couric asks: We know what the tea party is against. What is the tea party for? Michael Johns shows how dull he is by saying the health care reform already helps the poor through Medicaid. There are so many things wrong with that statement. 1) it's not just the poor who need access to healthcare. It's people who lose their jobs, even middle class who can't afford it. That's the problem. There is a shrinking middle class. 2) Medicaid is set to go bankrupt. 3) People with pre-existing conditions can't get insurance. Couric didn't call him on it, but she asked the tea partier about the moral obligation of healthcare.
