Update: Obama essentially said his budget is a starting point and that there needs to be an "adult conversation" on what Americans believe is important because stuff ain't free. There will be disagreements, he said. Obama made the first move with what's really a generous budget, contrary to democrat complaints. Now republicans will have to tell their base, many of whom are older Americans, that republicans want to do things such as privatize Social Security and axe Medicare and Medicaid.
