ElBaradei, an opposition leader, said Mubarak doesn't have to leave Egypt. He's an Egyptian, he said. The Mubarak regime met today with the Muslim Brotherhood and youth opposition groups -- not ElBaradei, who said he hasn't been part of the talks. I take all of the U.S. media coverage of Egypt's revolt with a grain of salt (especially the emoting Anderson Cooper's).
Richard Engel gives an update:
Gregory hit the nail on the head when he asked former Secretary of State James Baker about folks romanticizing the revolt in Egypt. Without a doubt, there's some serious romanticizing about the uprising on Twitter. There's also some romanticizing by our media.
