Jay Carney's first question was on how he viewed his job. He said he sees his role as promoting the president's message and helping the press do their jobs.
He faltered on answering a question about Lara Logan and if I were a member of the press I would've been frustrated by several of his answers. They were very general. But he didn't make any mistakes and perhaps giving more general answers -- promoting the president's message -- is exactly what he's supposed to do.
