60 Minutes: Palin Chosen out of Desperation

The republicans chose Sarah Palin at the last minute, because Joe Lieberman wasn't going over well with the base. I don't think that's particularly revealing. What is revealing is that Palin is dimmer than we knew. Palin thought Saddam Hussein caused 9-11 and she didn't know the difference between North Korea and South Korea. She didn't understand who her son was fighting in Iraq.
The fact is McCain was doomed to lose. The nation is changing. The republicans were offering nothing and still have nothing to offer.
One thing this 60 Minutes will do is cause Palin to write ferociously on her Facebook. It will also sell a lot a lot a lot of books:
