Palin Sticks to Her Paul Revere Story

I gave Sarah Palin the benefit of the doubt on the Paul Revere story. I thought she misspoke. I mean, what kid didn't learn "The British are coming! The British are coming!" But Palin was asked and insisted Revere was warning the British:

"I didn't mess up about Paul Revere," replied Palin, a paid contributor to the network.
"Part of his ride was to warn the British that were already there. That, hey, you're not going to succeed. You're not going to take American arms. You are not going to beat our own well-armed persons, individual, private militia that we have," she added. "He did warn the British." More at AP

And yet, despite her many flubs, her many flaws, her giant ego, people listen to what she says. People still believe she could be president.

Rolling Thunder Says Palin Wasn't Invited and is a Distraction

Rolling Thunder, the annual motorcycle rally that honors the nation's veterans, says it didn't invite Sarah Palin, who is kicking off her bus tour at Rolling Thunder, and they say she's a distraction. Once again Palin has stolen the media spotlight. Every other story is about Palin, which only makes her and her family richer and richer.
Palin is NOT running for president. I repeat: Palin is NOT running for president. The media knows this. But Palin is easy to despise. Covering her requires no work on the part of the media. The media should be reporting on more worthy topics but the media is so easily manipulated.
Palin's pushing buttons. She thrives on opposition. She likes to be heard.
If someone repeated everything that I had to say, if someone contributed to my nest feathering, I'd go on a bus tour too! She may be ignorant but she's not brain dead. She knows she couldn't be president.

I agreed with Palin, that people were unfairly blaming the shootings on her for political reasons. But once again, Sarah Palin shows that she's highly unworthy of holding any national attention, let alone a high office.  We all need to stop talking about Palin:

Palin Tells Barbara Walters She Could Beat Obama

I admire Sarah Palin's blind confidence in herself. It's remarkable. She lacks a sense of humility or awareness of herself. It's surely narcissistic. It must be nice to plow through life oblivious to critics or facts or information. I wish I had a little of that. She doesn't let anything stand in her way. She's like a thorn in everyone's side--republicans and democrats. The media can't get enough of her. But if she wins the republican nomination, it will be a gift to us:

Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin (R) said she can beat President Obama if the two went head-to-head in the 2012 presidential election.

Palin made the case for her electability should she decide to run for president, addressing one of voters' core concerns about the 2008 vice presidential nominee.

"I believe so," Palin told ABC's Barbara Walters when asked if she could beat Obama. The Hill

Palin's interview with Walters, also overrated, will be aired Dec. 9.

Palin Called Out By Wall Street Journal Reporter

I found it laughable that she called on the Fed to "cease and desist." Apparently, her recent speech on the Federal Reserve -- as if -- was full of hyperbole. I still can't figure out why anyone pays her any mind. I guess she's just so entertaining:

Sarah Palin is “just a former governor and current housewife from Alaska, but even humble folks like (her) can read the newspaper.”

Reading’s one thing. Comprehending’s another.

Palin makes the unfortunate mistake of slapping back at Wall Street Journal reporter Sudeep Reddy for calling her out for what he called “hyperbole” in a speech Palin made to the Specialty Tools and Fasteners Distributors Association convention in Phoenix.

What Happens When Ignorant People Run for Office?

You get this:

"Where in the Constitution is the separation of church and state?" O'Donnell asked him.

But maybe it's like Sarah Palin says. Maybe we just need a bunch of ordinary people in office, a bunch of Mama Grizzlies. After all, smart people screwed us. Why not give Palin, Angle and O'Donnell a shot?

I believe I've moved from anger to denial to acceptance.

I'm kind of looking forward to seeing how the tea partiers "shake things up" in Washington. What is Sharron Angle going to dismantle first? The Department of Education or Social Security?

I'm wondering if the tea partiers will lead republicans in Congress, get in line behind the republicans, get swallowed up or perhaps, actually try to govern.

It's ironic that republican policies plunged us into recession, and yet republicans could be taking over a nation that is on the upswing, thanks to the Obama administration.

Can't wait to see people who don't believe in government govern. We could be in full-time reality TV mode. I'm not looking forward to more war, though, but I suppose this nation will always endeavor in war.

Biden and Hillary to Switch Jobs?

Journalist Sally Quinn discusses the rumor that after mid-term elections Joe Biden would become secretary of state and Hillary Clinton would become vice president.

I think that's a great idea.

Joe has already been doing tons of international diplomacy trips. Hillary has already said that she's not likely to be secretary of state for a second term, so it would be a way to retain Hillary.

But I totally disagree with the notion that Hillary would be chosen as an antidote to Sarah Palin for 2012. This country would NOT elect Palin. Everybody knows that. It's only the media that has given Palin wings. If Palin won the republican nomination, then it would be a shoo-in for Obama.

Drill Baby Drill Herself Says Obama Too Close to Oil

Sarah Palin is an ignoramus. The fact that people listen Palin at all still astounds me.

Pointing to what she termed the White House's relationship with "the oil companies who have so supported President Obama in his campaign and are supportive of him now," Palin wondered aloud "if there's any connection there to President Obama taking so doggone long to get in there, to dive in there, and grasp the complexity and the potential tragedy that we are seeing here in the Gulf of Mexico."

McCain/Palin got twice as much as Obama and her musings are ludricous:

Gibbs said: "My suggestion to Sarah Palin would be to get slightly more informed as to what's going on in and around oil drilling in this country."

The oil and gas industry donated $2.4 million to Palin's running mate, Republican John McCain, in the 2008 election cycle, and nearly $900,000 to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics' opensecrets.org website. LAT

Then she goes on to say something that doesn't even make sense. How would BP's oil spill been different if it was closer to the shore than offshore? Wouldn't the effects have been worse?

"Maybe this is a lesson too for those who oppose safe, domestic supplies being extracted on our shores and on the land," she said, citing regions in Alaska. "Let us drill there where it is even safer than way offshore."

Palin has been a longtime advocate of drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which environmentalists say should remain protected.

How the story was framed by anti-Obama publication, Newsmax:

"I don't know why the question isn't asked by the mainstream media and by others if there's any connection with the contributions made to president Obama and his administration and the support by the oil companies to the administration," she told Fox News Sunday.

More than 3.5 million dollars has been given to candidates by BP over the last 20 years, with the largest single donation, 77,051 dollars, going to Obama, according to the Center for Responsive Politics.

Palin Likes Bendable Straws and Big Lear Jets

Sarah Palin will get first-class airfare for two and three rooms at a luxury hotel when she gives a speech in June for a university foundation.

And organizers better not forget to stock her lectern with two water bottles and bendable straws,

The details of Palin's contract with the California State University, Stanislaus Foundation were contained in five pages of the document retrieved from a campus trash bin by students who heard administrators might be shredding documents related to the speech.

State Sen. Leland Yee, D-San Francisco, provided copies of the paperwork Tuesday.

Among other perks, Palin will fly first class — if she flies commercial. If not, "the private aircraft MUST BE a Lear 60 or larger ...," the contract specifies. She also must be provided with a suite and two single rooms in a deluxe hotel.

The document, dated March 16, does not include compensation details for Palin, who commands speaking fees as high as $100,000. Read more!

Obama Dismisses Palin on Nuclear Issues

I've all but stopped paying attention to Sarah Palin, who can see Russia from her house and is a nuclear weapons expert too. She's so inept and such a nitwit. I'm almost embarrassed for her. It's strange that a person with so little to offer has so little fearlessness. Anyway, Obama responded to Palin's criticism, which you can read here:

Obama brushed off criticisms from former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin of his administration's recently announced nuclear policy by noting her lack of experience on the subject.

"I really have no response. Because last I checked, Sarah Palin's not much of an expert on nuclear issues," he said in an exclusive interview with ABC News' George Stephanopoulos. ABC

Can you imagine Palin having the wits to pull this off:

With Russian President Medvedev long gone, President Obama went from guest to host this evening in Prague, having 11 leaders from Central and Eastern European heads of state and heads of government over to dinner at the ambassador’s residence.

The countries attending the dinner were: Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Lithuania, Slovenia, Poland, the Slovak Republic, Latvia, Estonia, Romania and the Czech Republic.

White House officials were adamant today in rejecting the notion that this dinner was to reassure the Central Europeans that the warming of relations between the US and Russia will not come at their expense.

“We have been clear cut from day one – from April 1st -- that as we advance our interest with Russia in seeking mutual cooperation we’re not going to link that to other places as a quid pro quo,” Michael McFaul, Special Assistant to the President and Senior Director for Russian Affairs, said today, “That is simply not a game that we’re going to play.” ABC

Tea Partiers Won't Vote for John McCain for One Reason Alone

In Searchlight, the tea partiers call themselves the "world's premier human rights movement," and that all the talk of racial slurs is "a crock." What? It's all on video. All of it. The hate signs, the slurs. Human rights movement? Maybe human waste movement.

The fact is Sarah Palin is wasting her time propping up McCain and she's ruining her tea party cred. Tea partiers won't vote for McCain for one reason: immigration. He's long been in favor of immigration reform, and tea partiers hate immigrants. They blame immigrants for all of their woes like they're now blaming government. They believe that government is boosting the lives of immigrants and minorities, leaving all the white folks behind.

Tea partiers didn't come to Searchlight to stand in the windy, dusty desert to see McCain. They came to see Sarah Palin. Let's face it. She's pretty and she's angry--tea party turn ons.

Violent Threats Made Against Democrats

Norah O'Donnell reports that 10 members of Congress have asked for extra security. Sarah Palin is using gun imagery to target 20 democrats.

I think the problem we have is tea party types are now blaming government and "the other" (anyone not like them) for their own shortcomings and faults. Tea partiers down on their luck because of the economy are griping instead of lifting themselves up by the bootstraps. Isn't that what they profess? It's a lot easier to blame someone else, but in an economic downturn, these people feel even more slighted. Everyone is having a hard time. But tea party types consider themselves innocent bystanders being unfairly punished. They've found a new target--the government. Why? In part, because Obama is president and to them, he clearly represents "the other." But blaming others is not new for them. They have been scapegoating for years and years, blaming Hispanics and others for taking "their" jobs. Now the scapegoating is more pronounced. Light a match to tea partiers' economic despair--republicans egging them on, cultivating a culture of hate, Sarah Palin suggesting a reload-- and what do you get? You get violence just waiting to happen.

Palin Pitching Alaskan Docudrama in Hollywood

Who would've thought that politics would be Sarah Palin's door to Hollywood? I'd say she's in her element because what she is is an entertainer. Anyone see her on Leno? (I posted video below). Good standup performance. Great timing, funny. She has incredible self confidence. She doesn't let anyone or anything (facts) stand in her way. She's gutsy. Yay for Hollywood!

Sarah Palin, TV producer? Multiple sources confirm that Palin and uber-reality show producer Mark Burnett have been making the rounds in Hollywood this week to pitch a TV docudrama about Alaska. One source called it a “planet-Earth type look” at Palin’s home state. The former candidate for the vice presidency was seen leaving ABC today with Burnett, and an insider confirmed that she met with reality topper Mike Darnell yesterday at Fox (where she and her family ended the day by visiting American Idol. Palin stayed in the green room). She also stopped by CBS today and plans to meet with NBC Universal TV Chairman Jeff Gaspin tomorrow. Hollywood Insider

Family Guy Actress With Down Syndrome Tells Palin to Chill

Andrea Friedman, who played the Down syndrome character on Family Guy, has Down Syndrome and says Palin needs to lighten up. Palin, of course, has gone too far in her exploitation of her son Trig. Palin has enabled all of her children to perceive themselves as victims.
