Healthcare Legislation Not the Big Fix But Good

Jeffrey Sachs, director of the Earth Institute at Columbia University and author of Common Wealth, gives the most realistic assessment of healthcare reform yet. He says the healthcare legislation will be a step forward. It will be good for Americans but it's not the giant reform. It won't cover everyone but it will cover more people. It won't solve all the problems. The bill is modest, he said. It's going to pass and the American people are going to appreciate it, he said.
Progressives need to keep in mind that modest steps can be built upon.
