Obama and Hillary Meet

after the rally in virginia tonight, they met in washington:
nyt: Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Rodham Clinton held a private meeting tonight at her home on Whitehaven Street in Washington, a session initiated by Mrs. Clinton after a daylong series of talks between their aides.
Mr. Obama, who was scheduled to fly back to Chicago tonight following a rally in northern Virginia, stayed behind in Washington to meet with his former rival. He shed his campaign plane — and the traveling press corps and entourage — to see Mrs. Clinton.

hillary sends email to supporters saying she will support obama:
Also on Thursday, Clinton thanked supporters in an e-mail and pledged to help Obama capture the White House after eight years of Republican control. Clinton also plans to thank supporters in person at a Washington event Saturday.
"I have said throughout the campaign that I would strongly support Senator Obama if he were the Democratic Party's nominee, and I intend to deliver on that promise," the e-mail read.
"This has been a long and hard-fought campaign, but as I have always said, my differences with Senator Obama are small compared to the differences we have with Senator McCain and the Republicans." Read Clinton's message to supporters (pdf)
