Michele Bachmann Leads Tea Party Rally Against Healthcare

Why is it so obvious to me that Michele Bachmann is nuts, but others think she's genius? I find it fascinating that these folks call themselves Christians. They always gather with such venom and hate with their nasty little signs, and an odd paranoia. They spread fear among themselves and revel in conspiracy theories.

Laura Ingraham is pretty funny in an nasty kind of way. What a hateful monster she is. The "Obamanable snowjob":

Tea Party Singers

These people ought not to be worrying about communism. Instead, they need to start looking at ways to deal with their ignorance. I'm just tired of the communism thing. It's beyond foolish:

Jon Voight Speaks at Tea Party Rally at Capitol

This man makes me ill. Note, that he's one of the extremists, about as fringe as you can get. He's a birther (and poor Angelina Jolie's father). What's even more sickening is that republicans not only associated themselves with Voight, but also virtually came out today as the Tea Party:

John Boehner Speaks at Tea Party Protest

Boehner's comments were mild compared to the rest of the tea partiers. By the way, it looks as though the republicans are coming out and merging with the tea party.
Meanwhile, AARP and AMA endorse the House healthcare bill. The CBO also analyzed and dismissed the republicans healthcare bill. It perturbs me every time one of these tea partiers claim the Constitution and freedom as their own. Americans elected Obama. Americans want health reform. It's what's right.
The republican party is rotting before our eyes.

Axelrod: Tea Party Protesters Don't Represent Mainstream

Got that tea partiers.
Carry your guns, make your ugly signs, push, scream and march all you want but you are not the majority. You are a sliver of America, a teeny tiny one. The American people have already spoken.
Bob Schieffer showed a 60 Minutes clip, which airs tonight, in which Obama says he wants to figure out how to make civility interesting so the media isn't covering in-your-face wingnuts around the clock. I am so weary of wingnuts. We have to figure out how to defuse them, though, before they resort to violence.

Olympia Snowe, the other guest on the show, says there is no way to pass healthcare reform with a public option, so Obama may as well take it off the table.
Can we get a pre-vote?
Snowe called Joe Wilson's behavior disgraceful and she said that she has never witnessed such an outburst.
The Face the Nation roundtable concluded Obama is going to let the Senate take the public option off the table.
Roger Simon of Politico said there is no upside for republicans in achieving a bipartisan bill, so they're not likely to participate. I'd say that's pretty clear.

DNC Ad Addresses Right Wing Mobs

Tea partiers say they've been cast unfairly as "mobs." Attention Tea Party: a mob is one that disrupts, chants, swarms and doesn't provide any meaningful input into the debate. Open your ears and listen. Speak your mind, but wait your turn. Try to be rational as opposed to angry and maybe someone will hear you and maybe a meaningful exchange of ideas will happen.

Stupid Americans at Tea Parties

I generally don't like to refer to people as stupid, but I feel fairly confident about this. Blogger Interrupted talks to the stupid people once again. He covered a lot of the Palin rallies, which had no shortage of ignorant folks. I especially love the girl in the video who says she voted for Sarah Palin.
Are these the kind of people behind the tea party protests or are most of the people involved decent people who are mad about the bailouts and taxes?

Some not so wacky but a wee bit ignorant:
