How Limbaugh Landed Elton for His Wedding

Who'd a thunk that someone would want to marry Rush Limbaugh? This is actually his FOURTH marriage and his fiance apparently loves Elton John. Which proves that Rush is more bluster and entertainment than anything else. The joke is on anyone who takes him seriously.
One, he's marrying a woman who likes Elton John, which means she's open minded enough not to be one of his regular listeners. Two, he wooed and hired the openly gay and married Elton for love, putting aside all of his espoused values. Perhaps Limbaugh is just a little fuzzball looking for love.

Counter Protesters Beat up White Supremacists in Los Angeles

When I first heard that a white supremacist group was going to hold a rally in Los Angeles, it didn't seem any good could come of it. Sure enough, counter protesters showed up and were overcome with rage. Counter protesters beat one of the white supremacists and hurled rocks and bottles at others.
Is this a good thing? I think not. When it's hate vs hate, both sides lose.
If everyone just ignored the white supremacists--there were only 40 of them--or held a peaceful demonstration, instead of pushing back and legitimizing them, no one would've ever known the white supremacists were there.
How could any of the counter protesters, who started off with good intentions, possibly feel good about the outcome? It got so bad that the police ended up escorting the white supremacists to their cars.
It's the same with Rush Limbaugh, Glenn Beck and the rest of that pack. They stir up controversy by using hate rhetoric, but if no one bothered to push back, they wouldn't be popular.
Beck and Limbaugh are more popular with the people who love to hate them. They know that too, which is why they're always antagonizing. I got so bored of Beck and Limbaugh I finally decided just to stop posting about them. I've also lessened my postings on Sarah Palin as well. What's the point? I don't want to be another person out there adding to the madness. Now, if I could just let go of the tea party.
One man, who sported Nazi tattoos, was severely beaten near City Hall while another man, who carried a confusing sign about religion with a scribbled swastika, was pummeled by a mob of people on Spring Street between 1st and 2nd.

The Los Angeles Police Department went on tactical alert during the event and took responsibility for escorting the white supremacists to and from the demonstration site. Earlier in the week the group had obtained a permit for the demonstration.
At the end of the rally, after 2:30 p.m., police escorted the white supremacists to the criminal courts building parking lot to get in their vehicles. However, one car failed to start. A crowd of counter-demonstrators ran to the lot and began hurling rocks and bottles into the parking lot's southwest corner, hitting cars and shattering glass. As some of the white supremacists held shields emblazoned with swastikas over their heads to protect them from the projectiles, others attempted to jump-start the car. More at the LA times

It's Safe to Use the D Word for Palin

Good grief. Has any other politician caused so much drama? Sarah Palin is a reality show. She admonishes folks --except for Limbaugh, well, sort of -- for using the R word.
But it's safe to use the D word for Palin. Dull. Same goes for her merry band of media that can't stop talking about her. She's not presidential material. Never will be, despite tea party love. She's a mediocre person of mediocre intelligence.
In the latest drama, Palin criticizes Rahm Emanuel for using the word "retarded." Then Limbaugh goes on to use the word repeatedly on his radio show Wednesday, to which Palin says nothing. But then she did. But not really. Read about it here.
I'm so tired of Sarah Palin, who as far as I'm concerned is only exploiting her son Trig, as opposed to starting any kind of meaningful conversation on special needs children. She lacks the substance to engage in a meaningful way.

Limbaugh Urges Listeners NOT to Donate to Haiti Rescue

Rush tells his followers that they shouldn't donate to Haiti because, somehow, he sees the devastation in Haiti as a positive thing, politically, for Obama. How twisted is that? How evil is that? Some people who have medical emergencies like Rush did in Hawaii rethink life. It seems that Rush is still thoughtless and very hung up on race.

In this video below, Limbaugh makes it sound as though Rahm Emanuel said that the Haiti crisis was too good to waste. Rush's listeners probably know no better. When Emanuel made those remarks he meant that while we're digging ourselves out of a hole, we can simultaneously fix the things that need to be fixed, so that our nation doesn't have another meltdown like this one. He meant we could turn lemons into lemonade. Here is Emanuel's often misinterpreted quote from an WSJ story in 2008:
This opportunity isn't lost on the new president and his team. "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste," Rahm Emanuel, Mr. Obama's new chief of staff, told a Wall Street Journal conference of top corporate chief executives this week.

He elaborated: "Things that we had postponed for too long, that were long-term, are now immediate and must be dealt with. This crisis provides the opportunity for us to do things that you could not do before." WSJ
I'd hate to be Rush Limbaugh. Ick. He's rotting on the inside.

Joe Scarborough thinks Rush might walk back his comments, but he's only been escalating them:

Gibbs On Roberston's Haiti Remarks

If you missed Pat Robertson's dimwittedness, you can watch that here. I didn't catch Rush Limbaugh's comments yesterday. I try not to listen to too much negativity in one day, and frankly, I just didn't have the patience yesterday to listen to Fuzzball spew hate over Haiti.
White House spokesman Robert Gibbs called the Rev. Pat Robertson's comments that Haitians brought the earthquake tragedy on themselves "utterly stupid" and said it is "sad" for someone as wealthy as talk radio host Rush Limbaugh to urge people not to contribute to Haiti relief efforts.

"I don't know how anybody could sit where he does, having enjoyed the success that he has, and not feel some measure of sorrow for what has happened in Haiti," Gibbs said when asked about Limbaugh's remarks Thursday. "To use the power of your pulpit to try to convince those not to help their brothers and sisters is sad."

Gibbs also said he believes most people will ignore Robertson, who said Wednesday that a 7.0 magnatude earthquake devastated Haiti, a nation that practices voodoo along with Christianity, because Haitians "made a pact with the devil." Politico

SEIU Rejoices at Limbaugh's Love of Socialized Medicine

The irony of Rush Limbaugh's declaration that he received the finest care at Queen's Medical Center in Hawaii and that nothing is wrong with our healthcare system is that the hospital he was admitted to is unionized and Hawaii requires all employers to provide healthcare. Poor Fuzzball probably didn't realize that at the time:
We're thrilled to hear that Limbaugh appreciates Hawaii's exemplary health care system. Here's why:

1. Hawaii is a shining example of progressive health care reform. In fact, Hawaii is so forward-thinking that the Senate bill excludes Hawaii from some of its provisions, because Hawaii's requirements on employers go farther than the federal legislation.

Since 1974, Hawaii has required all employers to provide quality health care benefits to any employee who works 20 hours a week or more. Because of Hawaii's increased coverage, reports the New York Times, "hospital and insurance executives in Hawaii say they have been able to innovate efficiencies. For instance, the state's top three medical providers are adopting electronic medical records -- years ahead of most mainland counterparts."
One reporter noted "the medical system in Hawaii is as close to socialized medicine as there is in the United States, and, much of the Democrats reform bill is based in the Hawaii system."
2. Limbaugh stayed at Queen's Medical Center, where nursing staff are represented by the Hawaii Nurses' Association (read: a labor union). The nurses at Queen's are protected by their contract, which adheres to the ANA's safe-staffing principles guaranteeing appropriate staffing levels for any patient care unit. Read more at SEIU

Fuzzball Lives!

Rush Limbaugh, aka Fuzzball, must've had a case of gas.
I'm hoping that he considers lightening up in the New Year. When hate courses through your body it often shows up as a physical ailment. Fuzzball says we have the best healthcare in the whole world. Exactly, Rush. Now, let's help others get the kind of healthcare you received:

Vacationing Limbaugh Rushed to Hospital

Update: Looks like Rush is going to pull through. Let's hope it helps make him a better man.

Hope the fuzzball makes it through the night.
Rush Limbaugh, who went to the hospital with chest pains, is vacationing in Hawaii with "the elite" (Obama and Nancy Pelosi) he so often rails against. Rush is NOT in the same hospital that Obama was born in--Kapi'olani. Rush is at Queens Medical.
With all that hate that courses through his body, I'm surprised his heart hasn't bursted already. That's how hate works. It eats your insides. I hope that he's well:
Limbaugh suffered from chest pains, sources said. Paramedics treated him and took him to Queen's Medical Center in serious condition.
He was seen golfing at Waialae Country Club earlier this week. The country club is next to the Kahala Hotel and Resort. Read more

Rush Limbaugh Speaks With William Shatner

Rush Limbaugh explains his "nonconformist" behavior. I'm not sure I'd call it nonconformist. Watch how Rush beams in the beginning when William Shatner flatters him. Shatner asks Limbaugh if healthcare is a right. Limbaugh says no. Limbaugh goes on and on about his hearing loss. He says his drug problem made him a better person.
He really is fascinated with himself, which, in psychological terms, means he's a very insecure person. The sockless fuzzball just wants to be loved.

Obama Staffers Fire Back at Rush Limbaugh The Entertainer

David Axelrod says it best. Limbaugh is an entertainer.

Wallace Asks Rush What Has Obama Done To And For the Country

What has Obama done TO the country? What kind of question is that? Can you imagine a legitimate journalist asking that? This is what journalists call a hatchet job. It's also highly unprofessional and so extreme that it's laughable.
Wallace and Limbaugh are out to smear Obama the only way they know how. They must take us all for a bunch of idiots. They're not just expressing a differing opinion, they're fear mongering.
Chris Wallace used to be somewhat palatable but since calling Obama's staffers "crybabies," he's continued his downward credibility spiral. Too bad for him. He obviously felt personally affronted when the White House called out Fox.
I give Rush another six months of relevancy. The sockless fuzzball is out of his gourd:

Tea Party Express Brings on the Hate

Do these people (in the video below) realize that they look like idiots? I'm tired of these people claiming to be "real Americans" as if the rest of us aren't real. If being a real American means being ignorant, then they fit the bill.

What they are is a fearful bunch of people, afraid of progress, trying to hold on to days gone by.

I'm still not buying this argument that they're opposed to taxes. Uh-uh. Otherwise, what's with all the hate signs, the hateful rhetoric? There's something deeper and all one needs to do is visit freerepublic, one of the tea party express sponsors, to find out. Not accessible on freerepublic's main page anymore is the "obamatruthfile," where they discuss Obama's Kenyan birth. One of today's choice comments:
Obama’s Granny raised him while his Mother went whoring around with other men.
They're talking about the president.

I don't believe the tea partiers would be up in arms if we had a white democrat for president. I've seen too much evidence to the contrary. If I was afraid of paying more taxes, I certainly wouldn't associate with a hate group to get my point across. After all, who's going to listen to idiots with idiot signs and idiot language? Now, if someone speaks in a mature manner about the cost of high taxes, then people are going to listen.
The tea partiers are merely a hate group in disguise.
Llyod Marcus? What a wacko. He's a tea party entertainer.

Check out his website. He's selling ringtones, CDs... Here's his letter to Rush:
Dear Rush,
We are so very sorry about what the scruple-less liberal bias conservative hating media have done and are continuing to do to you. While we realize you are a big boy and can handle it, you are still a human being. This international personal attack on your character based on such absurd charges has to be extremely painful.
We, your 20 million plus loyal fans are outraged. You have our total support.
The tea partiers are back on board with "countdown to judgement day." I'm glad the reporter asked about the children. They are being harmed at these events. I like to think that children are resilient and smart but how else does hate breed if it's not taught?

Apparently, there is some friction in the tea party movement. There are the tea party patriots and the tea party express. Rachel Maddow says the difference between the two are that the patriots are more supportive of the republicans. But I think what's happening is that the people who want to talk about taxes are separating themselves from the haters. The tea party express, promoted by Fox, are the haters.

British Right Wingers Worse Than Ours: Meet Nick Griffin

Imagine someone worse that Glenn Beck or Ann Coulter.

Rush Limbaugh really is a fuzzball next to Nick Griffin, who is overtly racist (believes in "purity" of the races) and anti-semitic. He especially hates Muslims. A lot of Brits were outraged when Griffin was invited on a TV show, Question Time. Griffin doesn't mess around with cute rhetoric.

Ann Coulter, for example, would like to say out loud that Islam is an evil religion, but peer pressure prevents her from saying that.

Griffin just comes right out and says stupid stuff.

On his website, it says "white working class finds their champion."
He believes that ALL immigrants--not just undocumented ones--in Britain should leave. He's sort of like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Griffin is one of those who says the Holocaust is propaganda. In fact, most rightwingers are like Ahmadinejad--raging ideologues. Griffin pals around with David Duke, former head of the KKK.

He believes global warming is a scam:
“Man made global warming is an unproven theory. The science of climate change is in its infancy. The so-called consensus on the issue is the product not of debate but of the suppression of expert dissent.
“Before the political class and the green industrial complex dare to impose a single new tax, sub-standard lightbulb or useless windfarm on the ordinary taxpayer, they need to try to convince the public that global warming is man made, that returning the world to the warmer climate of medieval times would be a bad thing, and that there is anything that Europeans, as opposed to China and India, can do about it anyway.
He uses the same tactics as our rightwingers. He associates himself with ordinary people. It's the equivalent of when our rightwingers talk about "real America" and "true patriots."

One difference between Griffin and our rightwingers, he's not a war monger.

Charlatans like Griffin prey on people's weaknesses. Griffin blames immigrants for taking white people's jobs. This is the time of the charlatan because people are fearful right now. Change is happening--both good and bad--and it's happening at a faster pace. It seems we are truly at a pivotal moment in history where change and progress are bumping up against those who would prefer times of yesteryear. Pat Buchanan, who wrote a few days ago about his fears for "white America," sums up people who are out of touch with reality:
Moreover, the alienation and radicalization of white America began long before Obama arrived. He acknowledged as much when he explained Middle Pennsylvanians to puzzled progressives in that closed-door meeting in San Francisco.

Referring to the white working-class voters in the industrial towns decimated by job losses, Obama said: "They get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."
He concludes by suggesting that he and his kind are America and that they are losing something:
America was once their country. They sense they are losing it. And they are right.
Here is Griffin debuting on Question Time:

Shoddy Journalism Gave Rush Limbaugh Credibility

This is an example of how cable loudmouths are ruining journalism. People haven't a clue what journalism is anymore.

Rich Sanchez of CNN and others went about reporting untrue statements about Rush Limbaugh to prove their points. The sad thing is, there is plenty of truth about Limbaugh's racism to point to.

There are many, many youtube clips of Rush being obnoxious. There are transcripts on his own website.
No one needed to cite things that weren't true.

Now Rush Limbaugh gets to say EVERYTHING that's ever been said against him is a set up, a lie, that people are out to get him. It gave him a leg to stand on.

Sanchez and others practiced shoddy journalism and created a bigger Rush Limbaugh. Thanks a lot people. Here is Rush's op-ed in the WSJ, which is now, by the way, the highest circulation daily newspaper, whining with credibility about how he was blocked from buying an NFL team.
Next came writers in the sports world, like the Washington Post's Michael Wilbon. He wrote this gem earlier this week: "I'm not going to try and give specific examples of things Limbaugh has said over the years because I screwed up already doing that, repeating a quote attributed to Limbaugh (about slavery) which he has told me he simply did not say and does not reflect his feelings. I take him at his word. . . . "

Mr. Wilbon wasn't alone. Numerous sportswriters, CNN, MSNBC, among others, falsely attributed to me statements I had never made. Their sources, as best I can tell, were Wikipedia and each other. But the Wikipedia post was based on a fabrication printed in a book that also lacked any citation to an actual source.

I never said I supported slavery and I never praised James Earl Ray. How sick would that be? Just as sick as those who would use such outrageous slanders against me or anyone else who never even thought such things. Mr. Wilbon refuses to take responsibility for his poison pen, writing instead that he will take my word that I did not make these statements; others, like Rick Sanchez of CNN, essentially used the same sleight-of-hand.

The sports media elicited comments from a handful of players, none of whom I can recall ever meeting. Among other things, at least one said he would never play for a team I was involved in given my racial views. My racial views? You mean, my belief in a colorblind society where every individual is treated as a precious human being without regard to his race? Where football players should earn as much as they can and keep as much as they can, regardless of race? Those controversial racial views?WSJ
Limbaugh is also right about Al Sharpton. I lived in New York around the time of the Tawana Brawley incident and it was like Balloon Boy (as far as the amount of attention devoted), only it lasted weeks. Brawley accused a group of white men of raping her to escape punishment. She wrote racial slurs on her body. It was horrible. She later admitted it was a hoax. Sharpton tagged on to the case without investigating it. He didn't do any do diligence. He just believed her, which erased his credibility. He disappeared for a while after he was found guilt of defamation. It's a reason I've never liked Sharpton. He gave the racists ammunition. Rush's point is that the most vehement against him ought not to be throwing stones. Again, he's right.
It didn't take long before my name was selectively leaked to the media as part of the Checketts investment group. Shortly thereafter, the media elicited comments from the likes of Al Sharpton. In 1998 Mr. Sharpton was found guilty of defamation and ordered to pay $65,000 for falsely accusing a New York prosecutor of rape in the 1987 Tawana Brawley case. He also played a leading role in the 1991 Crown Heights riot (he called neighborhood Jews "diamond merchants") and 1995 Freddie's Fashion Mart riot.
Sanchez apologizes:

Rush Limbaugh: Michelle Obama Uhhhhhhhh Garden

This is Jamie Gangel's part 2 with Rush (see part 1 here). "Look what I have spawned," he said. Rush says Glenn Beck is the result of his success. Rush actually made me laugh this morning. The best part was his word association for Michelle Obama. He's harmless except for the fact that everyone listens to him and everyone is afraid of him.

This reaction by Al Sharpton only puts more wind in Rush's sails. He'll probably go out now and try and buy up more NFL teams. You can't ban someone from owning a football team. It's a football team.

Limbaugh is Dating, Slim and Happier Than He's Ever Been

Whew. I sure am glad the Fuzzball is getting some after being married and divorced three times. I'm convinced this guy has a serious love deficit. What he'd really like to do is have a beer and a round of golf with Obama. But since that would never happen, he's got to spew hate. It's child psychology.
On that note, Rush tells Jamie Gangel that Obama exacerbates racial problems.
Rush is right about two things: journalism is dead as we know it and he's good at yanking the media's chain.
Rush says he likes to make money:

Update: See part 2 of Rush's interview here.
