Miep Gies Dies

I love the kind of people who recognize morality no matter their time in history. When many people thought it was okay to exterminate Jews, Gies knew better. Miep Gies stowed the Frank family when Jewish people were being murdered. Gies kept Anne Frank's diary safe, not even reading it out of respect. Gies gave the diary to Anne's father Otto, who published it. An old video of Gies from the Today Show:
