Elizabeth Warren on Bank Stress Tests
Obama adviser Elizabeth Warren, chair of the congressional oversight committee monitoring TARP, favors firing bank execs. On Morning Joe, she said she's been jumping up and down, happy that Treasury will be publishing the stress test numbers, though she wants to get a gander at the stress tests to make sure they're legit. The stress tests will show which banks are teetering and which are not. The ones that are teetering will probably get more capital. The idea is investors will be more comfortable investing if they know the banks are solid. Treasury hopes to have the stress test results by early May.
