Palin to Answer Voters Questions Today

It's amazing that Ms. Mooseburger gets a headline and a story for the fact that, finally, she's going to answer voters' questions at a town hall, she's going to be thinking on her feet -- all by herself! But that's what kind of election this is. I'm sure she'll only get softballs anyway. Republicans only seem to care that she's a hockey mom who wears lipstick.
CNN: But for the first time since becoming McCain's running mate, Palin will take questions in an open forum from voters alongside the Arizona senator on Wednesday.

But Palin's solo debut is a case study in her appeal and in the McCain campaign strategy to keep her on a careful script.

Palin's two rallies out West were tightly controlled events. In Carson City, Nevada, on Saturday, Palin furiously signed autographs longer than she spoke.

In Golden, Colorado, on Monday, signs that voters brought to the rally were not allowed in. But yellow signs in the crowd were distributed by the campaign.

This morning on GMA, McCain and his wife sat outside next to a pile of pumpkins and were indignant about being asked questions. They channeled their inner Cheney. I don't know if I could stand four more years of a self-righteous president who has troubles communicating his thoughts.

When asked about overturning Roe V. Wade, he and Cindy said they support a "culture of life" and then quickly added that it doesn't matter because that's not what people are concerned about. It was their disrespectful and self-righteous demeanor that made them look like the gruesome twosome.

Meanwhile, George Bush and the republican economy is faltering, utterly failing, and people are actually considering voting for McCain. That's scary. It seems people are having a hard time connecting the dots.
