I have much more respect for Laura Bush, who stated the obvious -- Palin lacks. No one -- democrats or republicans -- should be afraid of the truth.
Laura Bush then says that Palin is a quick study. Now, with the truth stated, we can argue that point. Do we have time for a quick study and how quick is her study? It seems to me that she's not as quick as she's portrayed and comes across as naive, even dim. The bigger question is: Why would McCain choose a quick study, when there were plenty of experienced vice presidential candidates out there. What does this say about how McCain thinks? Is he putting country first?
(CNN) — First Lady Laura Bush told CNN Wednesday Sarah Palin lacks experience in foreign policy, but quickly added the Alaska governor is "a very quick study."
Asked by CNN's Zain Verjee if she thought Palin's resume included sufficient foreign policy experience, Bush said, "Of course she doesn't have that."
"You know, that's not been her role," she continued, "But I think she is a very quick study, and fortunately John McCain does have that sort of experience."
