Unbelievable. Well, I suppose it's not quite that unbelievable. But this is anything but "fair and balanced." This isn't journalism. This is a full-on attack ad launched by a TV network, which was surprisingly posted by a conservative blogger who apparently is concerned about the blatant advertising against Obama on the part of Fox News.

Game on: Obama Calls Romney
Romney won the GOP nomination last night, which Romney's Rump Trump-a-Dump thundered upon. It shows a great lack of awareness on Romney's part. Trump went on a birther rant across the TV world, and on CNBC Trump actually promoted his new Trump mattress. Seriously. It's made by Serta. Trump doesn't promote others. He promotes himself. Romney should've known that.

Romney Wants a Better Amercia (Spelling Error by Romney Camp)
The Obama administration surprisingly spelled cemetery as cemetary on its live stream videos this past weekend. The Obama admin almost never makes a spelling error. It seems to me, though, that America is one word you don't want to get wrong, especially when you're running for president. What's funny, is many of Romney's supporters probably didn't notice. The typo was still live this morn. Romney seems to be unable to coordinate a lot of moving pieces. Whenever he reaches a goal, he manages to do something dumb. Upon clinching the republican nomination, Romney gets rolled by Trump and spells America wrong. From PC Mag:

Jake Tapper Calls Trump Bizarre
It's quite refreshing when a journalist speaks the truth. It rarely happens. It's usually, he said this and she said that, without any truth gleaned, as obvious as the truth may be.
But this morning, Tapper didn't mince words about Trump: "who keeps bizarrely attacking the president, falsely, for not being born in the United States.”
Wow. Watch.
I do think, however, that Tapper was especially bold because Trump is getting on the nerves of the press. For a long time, the media reported the birther story as if it could be true. It worked for them, bringing in eyeballs. Now, it looks like the media is just sick and tired of all the nutjobs (and maybe a little sorry they didn't stop it sooner?) and are finally starting to call out the nutters.
If the media did more of this in 2008, they may not have been playing catch-up today. All of the birth announcements in the Hawaiian newspapers come directly from the hospital:

Here’s why the 80 percent figure is problematic: It tells you almost nothing about the success or failure of these companies. In fact, it is almost surprising that the figure is not nearly 100 percent. The Bain statement is so vague and imprecise that, in theory, revenues could grow in a single year, but fall in other years, and still be claimed as a growth in revenues. Moreover, the statistic takes no account of whether the business ultimately failed, despite revenue growth, because under Bain’s direction it had taken on too much debt.There's more on this fact check at the Washington Post, which wants to be on Bain's side, but can't:
Bain generally has a good story to tell, but they should not disguise their performance behind suspect statistics. Private equity plays an important role in the economy, especially in terms of providing financing to more risky companies or endeavors. But a successful private equity firm is judged on how much money it makes for its investors, not how much revenue grows or how many jobs are created. We are willing to revisit this ruling if Bain Capital is willing to explain how it developed this statistic, showing exactly what companies were included and what time period was covered. Until we can verify this figure, it means little — and the Romney campaign should stop using it as well. At the moment, it appears rather dubious.

Romney's Father Wasn't Born in the USA
The story also says this, which isn't true:Finally, there is definitive proof: The presidential candidate was born in the United States, and his father was not.
Yes, Republican Mitt Romney appears eligible to be president, according to a copy of Romney's birth certificate released to Reuters by his campaign. Willard Mitt Romney, the certificate says, was born in Detroit on March 12, 1947.

Mitt Romney has tried to avoid getting caught up in Trump's focus on Obama's birthplace. "Governor Romney has said repeatedly that he believes President Obama was born in the United States," said Eric Fehrnstrom, a senior adviser to Romney.If Romney wanted to avoid the controversy, he would've backed off from Trump the Dump, Romney's Rump. Mitt can't have it both ways. He can't say Obama's legit, while palling around with Trump. Also, let's be clear, today's birtherism is racism.
Asked whether Trump sees any double standard in going after Obama when Romney's father faced similar questions about his presidential eligibility, Cohen told Reuters: "I don't think (Trump) has ever thought about Mitt Romney's father's birth certificate."
White House Opposes Arming Syrian Rebels
Today, Minor League Romney blamed the deaths of Syrians on Obama. Romney is a shameful dud.
The Obama administration, while reiterating that it wants Syrian President Bashar al-Assad out of power, remained opposed to arming Syrian rebels, out of concern over who the rebels are and that further militarization would lead to more "chaos and carnage.”
The administration called the weekend massacre in Syria that left more than 100 dead "a horrifying testament to the regime's depravity,” but said it remained supportive of the UN peace plan to stop the violence. Read more at The Hill

Romney Won't Cut Ties With Trump
Even Peggy Noonan says Mitt should disassociate from Trump, though she does her best to cover for him, suggesting he might be pulling a Reagan (what else would she say?) It's really quite surprising Mitt is given so much leeway for his association with Trump. Reminder, birtherism = racism.

I hate drones. I'll say that first. If you're going to kill people in the name of war it should be bloody and dirty and personal. But I appreciate that it's a war with Al Qaeda and NOT a war on Islam and NOT a war on terror. We go back to all of that nonsense and more under a republican.

Obama Administration's National Blueways System
National Blueways System.
Something that would never ever happen in a Romney administration, because republicans, especially severely conservative ones, have a biblical view of the environment -- they believe the planet is at our disposal until there is nothing left, at which time certain people will be frolicking with Jesus.
It may not be quite as busy as the Interstate Highway System on Memorial Day weekend, but this week America christened another kind of interstate transportation network — even though it has existed for thousands of years.
The National Blueways System, formally created Thursday by Interior Secretary Ken Salazar, aims to protect and popularize the country's rivers by taking a holistic approach to conservation. Unlike the current patchwork of federal protections, which typically only cover certain segments of a river, a national blueway will include the entire river "from source to sea," as well as its surrounding watershed.
