Obama Speaks at Nellis Air Force Base May 27

Update 5-27: See Obama's speech at Nellis here.
Following an evening of fundraising in Las Vegas (see speech here) for Sen. Harry Reid, who's afraid of a few terrorists locked up in super max prisons, Obama will head out tomorrow to Nellis Air Force Base, where he'll speak at 2:40 p.m eastern or 11:40 a.m. Las Vegas time:
Tonight at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, President Barack Obama will join entertainers Bette Midler and Sheryl Crow onstage for a "tribute concert" to U.S. Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev.

Obama plans to spend the night at Caesars, sources say, and is scheduled to appear Wednesday morning at Nellis Air Force Base for an event touting the stimulus package. The Nellis event is not open to the public.

It will be Obama's first visit to Nevada since he won the state's five electoral votes in November. LVRJ
Obama was greeted by none other than Harry Reid, Dina Titus and Oscar Goodman, the martini drinking mayor of Las Vegas and homeless person hater. Goodman, a former mob attorney, has also been picking beefs with Obama and wants to build a Mob Museum with the stimulus money.

Obama Headlines Vegas May 26

Update: Obama will also be holding some sort of event in Las Vegas, according to Robert Gibbs.
Obama's headlining Sen. Harry Reid's fundraiser at Caesars Palace.
Sometimes, it's a matter of raising money, the way President Barack Obama will help Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) raise it on May 26.

Our colleagues at The Ticket report that Reid is drawing Bette Midler and Sheryl Crow for the evening's entertainment -- and Obama for a headliner at the party fundraiser in the Colloseum at Caesers Palace. Our own source confirms the date. Swamp

The Scene at Mile High Stadium

2:10 p.m. Volunteers having trouble recruiting people to use phone bank at Invesco.
2:00 p.m. Mexicana For Obama" reads the message on towering red-and-white hat worn by Washington state delegate Antonia Gonzalez at Denver's stadium. She says she's confident "change" includes an immigration system fix so that raids no longer break up immigrant families.
1:59 p.m. Phone-banking for Obama inside Invesco gates is off-the-hook, with drawing to get on the field.
1:56 p.m. Parking lot at Invesco looks like an RV and satellite trade show.
1:53 p.m. Lakewood Police Officer Ryan McKone watching crowd atop steps at Denver's stadium: "Everything's good, real peaceful. Protesters are following what they said they would do."
More at the Denver Post.

All the haters are going to say what they're going to say but Obama is going to rock the stadium. Some commentary.
