Rage Against the Machine Leads Anti-War March

Wahooey. Now that's a protest.
Rocky Mtn. News: A massive antiwar street march led by veterans of the Iraq war has entered downtown Denver, still thousands strong.

The protest, cosponsored by Iraq Veterans Against the War and Tent Street University, began at the Denver Coliseum and is planned to continue on to the Pepsi Center. It is being escorted by a massive police turnout.

Rage, Peas and Others Playing at Convention

IN the Lineup: Rage Against the Machine, Black Eyed Peas, Melissa Etheridge, Fall Out Boy, Cyndi Lauper, Jakob Dylan, Rufus Wainright and Willie Nelson.

New Orleans musicians will kick off the event: 
NOLA: The 6,000 delegates expected to attend the Aug. 24 welcoming party in Denver will groove to the Voice of the Wetlands All-Stars featuring guitarist Tab Benoit, Cyril Neville, Irma Thomas and Marva Wright, plus three of the four original Meters, the Soul Rebels Brass Band and the Wild Tchoupitoulas Mardi Gras Indians.

Later that night, the same musicians are to perform during a private after-party at Denver's Fillmore Auditorium hosted by Friends of New Orleans, a nonprofit, nonpartisan Washington, D.C., organization that advocates on behalf of New Orleans and coastal restoration.
