Michelle Obama answers questions from executive office employees' kids on the annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day. Bo is in attendance.

How does it feel being the First Lady? It feels like being me, Michelle responds.

Michelle says the family uses the tennis court the most at the White House because everyone is taking tennis lessons. Another tidbit, the White House theater doesn't have 3D capability. Someone needs to get on that.

Michelle says Malia's big issue is to save the tigers and she wants to know what her dad is going to do about that. Funny.

New Book About White House Dog Bo

A deal has already been done to publish “Bo America’s Commander In Leash”, a children’s book that is due to be released next week.

According to Mascot Books, the publisher, the book will follow “Bo on an exciting adventure as he learns all about the White House and experiences the traditions that make it such a special place.”

The book will feature guest appearances by Mr Obama, his wife Michelle Obama, Senator Ted Kennedy and Joe Biden the Vice President. It has been written by Naren Aryal, founder of Mascot Books, and illustrated by Danny Moore, one of its employees.
Mr Aryal told the New York Times he and Mr Moore had been working on the project for about two months, leaving space for pictures of the dog, once it was chosen. He added that the Obamas’ two daughters Sasha and Malia are not named in the book because he wanted to protect their privacy. Bo Obama blog

Michelle Obama Tells Visiting Children About Bo

MSNBC: First dog Bo is a "kind of crazy" puppy who likes to chew on people's feet, Michelle Obama told children visiting the White House on Thursday.

The first lady is spending a lot of time walking and training the 6-month-old Portuguese water dog who became a member of the president's family last week.

An energetic breed, Bo plays well into the night, as he did on Wednesday.

"It was like 10 o'clock. Everybody was asleep and we hear all this barking and jumping around," Mrs. Obama said. "The president and I came out and we thought somebody was out there. And it was just Bo. He was playing with his ball. And it was like there was another person in the house.

"He's kind of crazy, but he's still a puppy. So he likes to play a lot," she said.
