Associated Press Uses FOIA to Obtain Dead Bin Laden Photos

AP wouldn't be doing its job if it didn't request the photos. No doubt the bloodthirsty will have the opportunity to see the photos and reproduce them on t-shirts, but it would be nice if it happened later when the release of the photos will have a smaller impact as Obama's moral argument against the release of the photos -- "that's not who we are" -- has the chance to make it around the world.

As a result, it is not clear when or if the photos will be provided.
The AP received the letter Friday, 11 days after it requested the photos and other material stemming from the May 2 raid by a team of Navy SEALs on bin Laden's compound in Pakistan.
