Mitch Daniels Says He Could Beat Obama

He's right. He's about the only republican that could, given the lame field. For the sake of the country and our political process, I hope there is a decent republican candidate. But it's unlikely he'd make it past the tea party to win the nomination.
Republican Mitch Daniels, who is considering a run for the White House in 2012, said on Tuesday he thinks he can beat U.S. President Barack Obama but that is not a factor in his deliberations.

"I think the chances would actually be quite good," Daniels told reporters in Indiana. "That's really not a factor, I don't want to overstate this." AP
He'll announce by Memorial Day.
