Update: Obama called Boehner tonight and a few others:
Is Boehner really this choked up or is he drunk? Kind of sweet in an odd way, so long as he's not drunk. It will be interesting to see how Obama and Boehner work together. If he's a crier, there are possibilities:Mr. Obama told Messrs. Boehner and McConnell that he was “looking forward to working with him and the Republicans to find common ground, move the country forward and get things done for the American people.”
Mr. Boehner’s office released a statement saying, “They had a brief but pleasant conversation.”
