Obama Visits NYPD Before Fundraiser to Say Thanks

Obama gets an NYPD jacket that says POTUS.
President Obama made an unannounced stop at One Police Plaza in Manhattan Thursday evening, where he thanked New York City police officers for their handling of the attempted car bombing in Times Square.

“The country is proud of you," Obama, who was accompanied by Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly, told the officers.

The president greeted the roughly three dozen officers, who were seated at desks with computer terminals and rose to their feet when he walked in the door. Read more at Politico
Following Obama's NYPD visit, he'll head to the St. Regis where he'll speak at 7:05 pm eastern, at a DCCC fundraiser.
