This family lost their father in the Fort Hood shootings, the only civilian killed, and yet, they say a whole group of people--Muslims--should not be blanketed with hate.
Meanwhile, the rightwing, with its own extreme religious views, is trying to exploit this event to make the case against Muslims altogether. Some are even saying they shouldn't be serving in the military. If this was a Christian zealot who went on a rampage, no one would suggest getting rid of all the Christians.
