Blah, blah, blah. Same old.
Republicans have been nothing but a huge obstacle. We probably should've had more stimulus to create jobs, but republicans stood in the way of that.
Republicans believe that if people's taxes were lower, they'd be spending more. That's such a bunch of bunk. Obama did give everyone a tax break at the get-go. No one noticed! No one went out shopping. Reality is republicans have no ideas on the economy. Their position is lower taxes saves the world. Government is bad. That's it. They don't have creative thoughts.
The reality is we're not just undergoing a bad economy, our economy is going through a massive upheaval, a transition away from traditional manufacturing, the same way our economy shifted from agriculture-based to industrial-based in the 1800s.
Everyone keeps saying Obama ought to be focused on jobs. He is! Everything is tied to jobs. If our education system isn't reformed in the near future, we'll become less relevant on the global scale.
We're spending so much money on healthcare and Medicare will soon be bankrupt, but we're behind Poland in infant mortality, not a slight on Poland, but we're lagging. People die because they don't have health insurance. We all pay for the lack of uninsured people, in more ways than one.
