Why Oh Why is Palin Speaking To Investors?

Isn't she writing a book because she's nearly bankrupt? What does she know about investing and economics? What will she talk about? How she used to be governor of AlaaaaSKA and how she used to save the state big money and how she used to be a vice presidential candidate? Perhaps she's the evening's entertainment.
Why Hong Kong? Does she think it will earn her worldly cred? Who got her the gig? Apparently, no media is allowed into the event but as the Atlantic says, she won't be able to hide from the media. Everyone will know what she said.

Former U.S. Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin will be in Hong Kong this week to address about 1,000 investors from around the globe in what is billed as her first speech outside North America.

Palin, who recently stepped down as Alaska's governor, will make the keynote speech on Wednesday to the 16th CLSA Investors' Forum. She will cover governance, economics and current events in the United States and Asia, said Simone Wheeler, head of communications for CLSA. CNN
