Conrad Talks About Pricey Medicare Advantage

The health care bill is going through a mark-up process. Sen. Kent Conrad talks about the high cost of Medicare Advantage program, which lets seniors choose private health insurers, such as Humana, instead of Medicare.
Medicare Advantage apparently subsidizes insurance companies, boosting insurance company profits but costing the government more than it should.
Private insurers' hackles are up because they're scared they're going to lose profits if Medicare Advantage goes away, so they tried to scare seniors with a mailer, saying seniors could lose their healthcare. Seniors WILL NOT lose healthcare coverage. Humana has since stopped sending out its mailers.
