Republicans accuse Obama of closing Guantanamo to keep a campaign promise. Hello Kit Bond. It's called setting a goal.
He promised to close Gitmo, that was the goal.
Now we'll come up with objectives to meet that goal.
Looks like the republicans have taken advice from Cheney, who turned loose 100s of Gitmo detainees. The Obama administration will do it the right way or they won't do it at all. As if Obama would risk the country's safety. Republicans need to get a life.
The trouble with this kind of talk--Obama's threatening the safety of our country--is that many people in their party are unstable. It's just wrong to fear monger. But for them, fear mongering is an outright strategy.
