McCain Palin Supporters Oozing Hate

Found on Twitter: Grandmother sues McCain Palin campaign for promoting hate speech. Palin has condoned hate speech by starting it. McCain keeps his distance. But he's not clean.

The McCain camp keeps saying that it's a few bad apples that are hateful. That's a lie. There has been a year-long campaign to smear Obama as a terrorist Muslim. Everyday, all the time. I know because I get this stuff in my inbox because I've signed up to radical right sites. This stuff about socialism and communism is part of the radical right's propaganda that Obama is unAmerican and scary. McCain has embraced the radical right.
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - A metro grandmother is suing Republican presidential candidate John McCain, his running mate Sarah Palin, and his campaign manager for promoting hate speech.

The grandmother claims some statements made about Democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama at an out-of-state rally terrify her as much as J-F-K's assassination.

"I know the secret service is on this case, but John McCain and Sarah Palin can stop some of this by a statement that they abhor these death threats and will not tolerate them," said Mary Kay Green, the plaintiff in the lawsuit.

So what does a 66-year-old civil attorney do? Hardcore Obama supporter Green sues.

"You have to treat these things seriously," Green said.
Her lawsuit claims McCain's campaign "intentionally, recklessly and irresponsibly portrayed presidential candidate Barack Obama as un-American, a terrorist by association, and "not like us," a non-white individual.

It also accuses Palin of working a crowd at a rally into a frenzy "causing them to make death threats against presidential candidate and U.S. Senator Barack Obama with her audiences shouting "kill him," "off with his head," "terrorist," "Muslim terrorist."

"It strikes terror in my heart," Green said.
Here's more
SACRAMENTO, Calif. – GOP party leaders in Sacramento County took down offensive material on their official party Web site that linked Sen. Barack Obama to Osama bin Laden and encouraged torture of the Illinois senator, the Sacramento Bee reported Wednesday.

California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger had pushed the party to try to broaden its appeal, but “"In the governor's view, (the content was) completely and totally inappropriate," a Schwarzenegger spokeswoman was quoted in the Bee as saying.

The paper said Sacramento County party chairman Criag MacGlashan took credit for and defending the site and its content, "I'm aware of the content," he said. "Some people find it offensive, others do not. I cannot comment on how people interpret things."

The site reportedly stated as fact several claims popular in chain E-mails about Obama’s patriotism and personal history that have since been verified false. One graphic also said “The only difference between Obama and Osama is BS,” and to “Waterboard Obama.”

Waterboarding is a torture technique in which a person is laid on their back with their head inclined downward. Water is poured over the person’s head and breathing passages, eliciting a drowning effect. The process can cause severe pain, suffocation and death.
