Gore Loses Me on 10,000 Square Feet Home

I like Al Gore. I like his vision. I think he's right about the urgency to stop global warming
But building his own 10,000 square-foot spread (Brokaw asked him about his home on Meet the Press), no matter how green, seems to defeat the purpose.
I get the critics on this one. He's not setting a good example. Gore said he's not perfect.
It seems to me being green isn't about using more fancy stuff. I mean, how many could build the kind of green house that Gore has? To me, being green is using fewer resources. It took a lot of other resources, obviously, just to build that kind of house.
