clinton would make everyone have to get insurance. okay. so what if it's mandated but it's not affordable? that would stink. what if it's not what you need or want? what if you're young and don't need it? how many college students and people in their 20s and 30s go without insurance, paying cash when they need a flu shot or whatever? what is the possibility of this kind of thing passing? if it does pass, how the heck to do you enforce it?
obama would make it affordable so that anyone who wants it can get access to it. now, that makes more sense. what's not to like about that? people fear that someone won't sign up and bankrupt the system? i think healthy people won't sign up but what's the harm there?
insurance needs to be affordable and it needs to be more comprehensive in terms of what it covers and it needs to cover those with existing conditions. the whole system really needs a overhaul. what i'd like to see is pricing for each and every item.
for example, my mother goes in regularly and the doctor does all these tests. she doesn't ask any questions. doctor knows, right? how expensive are those tests? are they necessary or do they just line his pockets and puff up the industry?
obama's blueprint for change. this offers detail on his plan.
