There are only two reasons people have offshore accounts, 1) to hide something 2) for the tax benefits. It's not illegal to have your money offshore, but why does Romney? I guess reporters have been asking, but Romney isn't answering.
Why does this matter? It matters if he's hiding something illegal. People are wondering how he funded his IRA account to the tune of $100 million when there are annual contribution limits.
It also matters because Romney may have conflicts of interest. He may have investments that aren't good for the president of the USA to have. It's not about Romney being wealthy or "successful" as he always says -- I personally don't define success by how much money someone has or how good he or she was in business -- It's about knowing who this man is. An excellent video from the Obama campaign:

How did Romney stash $100 million in his IRA when there are annual contribution limits?
John Boehner said you don't have to love Romney to vote for him. He said the election is a referendum on Obama. Romney is a subpar candidate and republicans are stuck with him because the field they had to pick from was lousy -- the whole lot of them.
