Gingrich: Poor Children Have No Habit of Working

Obama could possibly beat Gingrich in a landslide, but shhhhh .... don't tell the republican primary voters.
I posted on this yesterday and I can't quite get it out of my head. It's perhaps the most absurd and obscene thing I've heard all year. Since when did really poor children need to work? As I said yesterday, let's give the poorest children the best education. That would help level the playing field for their future.
Why don't we focus on putting the sheltered children of the rich to work? That way, they would learn what it's like to have a work ethic. Many rich families struggle with giving their children an idea of what it's like in the real world. Some try to teach their children empathy by bringing them to soup kitchens. What often happens is these children often end up spoiled with no empathy, no understanding of the real world, no work experience -- ever -- and then they perpetuate the cycle of hoarding wealth among the top 1%. How about a work program for wealthy kids, Newt?

Newt confident he's going to be the nominee. The ghost of Reagan probably told him so.
