Gibbs and Thad Allen Briefing on Oil Spill June 7

Thad Allen says the spill is not a monolithic spill. It is a massive mess of oil blobs that they're trying to deal with now.
Boom is not a silver bullet against the oil. No matter how much boom there is, oil will come to shore, he said.
BP is not doing any more estimates on flow rates, Allen said. The flow rates are now being estimated by the government.
Allen says it would like BP to get better at fulfilling claims. You'd think, as a business, BP would be good at that, but apparently not.
Despite the consequences of the spill, Louisiana, led by Bobby Jindal, want offshore oil drilling to resume.
