A key Republican called on Tuesday for the firing of Gen. Stanley McChrystal.
Rep. Mike Rogers (R-Mich.), the ranking member of the Intelligence subcommittee on Terrorism/HUMINT, Analysis and Counterintelligence, said President Barack Obama should consider firing McChrystal over remarks the general made to Rolling Stone magazine critical of the administration's decision-making in Afghanistan.
"If I were the president, I would consider getting rid of Gen. McChrystal," Rogers said on MSNBC.
