In an interview with Bloomberg's Al Hunt, Timothy Geithner calls the Wall Street reform bill "a very strong bill." He says it's close to done. Geithner said as soon as this bill is passed, the Obama administration will start legislation to reform Fannie and Freddie and the housing finance market, which is why the Senate defeated
John McCain, Richard Shelby and Judd Gregg's Fannie and Freddie amendment.
Geithner said the SEC will release a report on Monday with the initial findings of the cause of the recent market plunge.
