The Future of Journalism and Newspapers Video

A bunch of journalists, bloggers, politicians, and Sen. John Kerry, chairman of the subcommittee in charge of the hearing, gathered in DC to talk about the future of journalism.
Some newspapers actually want a bailout. Ha! Newspapers sunk themselves. Some think the industry should turn to a nonprofit model.
Arianna Huffington thinks her Huffington Post is the future of journalism. NOT. HP is blogging (opinion), not journalism, which involves objectivity (or at least fairness), editors and fact checkers.
I think newspapers or something akin to newspapers have a future on readers like the Amazon Kindle. But one newspaper guy said that Amazon wanted a 70% cut. Not a viable model for the newspaper. As an industry, he said newspapers might be able to negotiate a better rate.
