Bidens Get A Dog

By way of Politico. Here's a photo. Joe's granddaughters will name the German Shepherd.
AP from Pottstown, Pa.: 'Vice President-elect Joe Biden picked out a 3-month-old male German shepherd from a suburban Philadelphia kennel to bring with him to Washington. The dog from Jolindy's German shepherd kennel in Spring City will be trained and housebroken over the next several weeks by Mark Tobin, who coordinates the K-9 division for police in Biden's home county of New Castle, Del. Tobin said he met Biden after the longtime senator became the vice presidential nominee. The Secret Service brought in Tobin and his canine team to sweep the Biden residence for explosives. Biden then asked for Tobin's help in picking and training a puppy, Tobin said. Tobin said he will deliver the dog to Biden after the inauguration in January, which will be less stressful on both the family and the pet. Jolindy's owner Linda Brown said Biden told her during his visit Dec. 6 that his granddaughters will name the dog. 'He was very gracious,' Brown said. 'He hugged and kissed all of the shepherds.' Biden spokeswoman Elizabeth Alexander said Friday that the incoming vice president owned three other German shepherds, 'so he's familiar with the breed and its personality.'
