McCain Not a Natural Born Citizen?

I understand picking at John McCain, but even if this were true, this is an ancient amendment that needs revision. It's another example of the U.S. not keeping up with the fact that we're a global citizen. Just because someone was born somewhere else doesn't mean that he or she shouldn't be president.
NYT: In the most detailed examination yet of Senator John McCain’s eligibility to be president, a law professor at the University of Arizona has concluded that neither Mr. McCain’s birth in 1936 in the Panama Canal Zone nor the fact that his parents were American citizens is enough to satisfy the constitutional requirement that the president must be a “natural-born citizen.”

People, a lot less wise than this professor, have questioned Obama's birthplace and are ignorant enough to believe that he's not a natural born citizen no matter what evidence is presented. There are websites all over the Internet devoted to spreading the rumor that he's not. How stupid is this? It just goes to show that truth is whatever someone believes. Truth has lost its way in America.

The irony is, Obama was born in the U.S. and John McCain was not --if you don't count the Panama Canal Zone as the U.S. But isn't this all just stupid stuff? Aren't there more pressing issues?
