here's a recap of "meet the press" this morning.
james carville bashed obama. that's a surprise. anything the comes out of carville's mouth can be discounted because he only sees through clinton glasses.
two republican strategists bash obama. wow, really?
the only democratic strategist, bob shrum, was weak.
how do these people get these jobs?
host tim russert showed a clip of bill saying that his wife is 60 and that if you were 60 you might forget about the circumstances of sniper fire.
"i love that man so much," carville says shaking his head but nonetheless in support of bill.
then a clip of hillary whining about the media attacking her on trade. why does she whine so much? then her own strategist mark penn tries to strike his own business deal with columbia, conflicting with clinton's trade stance. what does that say about clinton's ability to surround herself with good people?
who's going to beat obama?
john mccain looks at his watch when he talks about the economy. yes, he does. hello, mitt romney.
strategists agree that the democrats are going to push the third bush term. that's a boring strategy because it's such a given.
obama only needs to point to mccain's old-fashioned thoughts, bombing as a solution to world problems, giving tax breaks to the rich. i also think mccain's volatility -- he always looks like he's ready to explode-- will get the better of him and he'll implode himself.
why is mccain polling so well right now? obama said it best. obama hasn't had the opportunity to go up against him. as soon as it's a two person race, mccain's polling will dwindle. obama has proven that once he gets to convey his message to people, they gravitate toward him.
wes clark for obama's vice president, suggests the democratic strategist? nah.
