Hillary Brings Out Maya Angelou

update on the talk below.
clinton and maya are having a "talk" live on cnn in a few moments.
here's the interesting thing about angelou.
she's kind of stuck with clinton because bill invited her to read a poem at his inauguration. that was a brilliant moment. and you know how that loyalty thing works with the clintons. once you're in their clutches, you're not allowed to escape.
but i wonder how angelou views hillary's weak character during this campaign?
talk about six degrees of separation, angelou is oprah's mentor and oprah is a big backer of obama. and rev. wright is a big fan of angelou. he recently attended her birthday celebration. not sure wright's a fan of clinton, however. i suppose we can safely guess not. since it was hillary that circulated the emailed memo about wright to start. but does this mean that because wright and angelou have a relationship that hillary also is connected to wright? that is what our dumb media and hillary herself have contended.
what does angelou think about that?
she has said that if obama wins she would be "happy" about that too.
i'll report back what she has to say.

hillary's north carolina rep is on stage exploiting the whole woman thing: no one tells women in north carolina to shut up and sit down, he says, and no one tells hillary to shut up and sit down.
come on women? you're smarter than that.

here's my report back on the talk:
bOOring. okay. i get it, hillary is trying to get the vote of black women. maya said we need someone who sees that we're more alike than different and by george, i thought she was going to endorse obama right there. of course she couldn't do that. then hillary butt in.
"we drank tea" she said about a visit to belfast with women of different religions. this is sooooo phony. can't anyone see through this?? accckckk.
hillary is on her best behavior so far. she's even said decent things about obama in the context that they both-- as a woman and black man -- are part of an historical election.
maya prompts hillary to talk about the inequality in wealth. hillary rolls out her "grandfather who was a factory worker in scranton pennsylvania."
a woman from the audience says "i love you" and then goes on to say that she's sorry that bill had an affair and asks about her vice president. hillary says the same thing she always does.
a bitter man asked what hillary intends to do about gas prices that are having a domino effect on the prices of everything else.
hillary believes there needs to be an investigation about why prices are so high. energy futures are affecting the supply and costs, she said. she would put a windfall profits tax on oil companies. we won't get serious until the two oil men leave the whitehouse, which rightly got big applause.
maya wrote a "prose tribute" to hillary.
maya pretty much acted as a moderator.
if you didn't see it, you didn't miss much.
