Why would republicans invite Jon Voight to speak at their dinner? This doesn't bode well for republican credibility. Voight gets a lot of enthusiastic applause.
Voight (I feel for Angelina) is irrational, to the right of Limbaugh and Hannity, and just plain weird and he made that clear at the GOP din din by calling Obama a "prophet" and a false one at that. He also says America must be freed of Obama oppression. Where was he when America elected Obama? Where do they get this stuff? Republicans are a useless bunch of gnats at this point. They just stand in the way of progress, like trolls throwing rocks from under the bridge. It's disappointing that we can't be having a higher level conversation with the republicans, with real talking points. We just get this:

McCain Proclaims Obama The One
John McCain can't stop talking about Obama, and about how many people admire and respect Obama, and in a new ad, McCain proclaims Obama The One.
Well, it's about time. Although the ad distorts some facts and twists Obama's words (what's a few lies when desperation sets in), McCain has it right. Obama is The One. He's The One who's going to be our next president.
McCain's just sorry he's Not The One.
In the past week, 200,000 people donated to the Obama campaign (including me), including 100,000 just yesterday (for a chance to go to Denver). People having been pouring into Obama campaign offices. McCain's low road tactics has inspired donations and action.
