U.S. Chamber of Commerce Fighting Obama's Consumer Financial Protection Agency

In Obama's weekly address below, he discusses the upcoming G20 summit in Pittsburgh (Sept. 24-25) and the Consumer Financial Protection Agency, which is meant to help prevent another meltdown by bringing regulatory power over mortgages, credit cards and other financial services under one roof. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is fighting Obama on the agency:
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce is launching an advertising campaign of at least $2 million aimed at defeating a central plank of the Obama administration's financial-regulation overhaul.

But there won't be any mention of banks or Wall Street or insurance companies.

The first ads running in Washington-area newspapers feature a picture of a butcher with the line: "Virtually every business that extends credit to American consumers would be affected -- even the local butcher and the credit he extends to his customers." Obama to Attend G20 Summit in Pittsburgh

Robert Gibbs announced this at his press briefing today (I'll post when it's up).
The meeting will take place in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on Thursday 24 September and Friday 25 September.
April's G20 summit in London announced a $1.1tn (£691bn) rescue plan to help revive the world economy.
The September meeting is expected to monitor the implementation of the plan so far, and decide whether further measures are needed. BBC
