As a non football person, I barely know who Joe Paterno is, so I feel like I have an objective voice when I say, not reporting child rape to authorities is at the very least a moral crime.
Paterno may have been a "winning" coach and a great guy, but why do men always seem to be covering up crimes against children, whether it be in the Catholic church or a powerful institution. Ultimately, it seems people don't really concern themselves with the victims, the children, only with themselves and upholding the reputation of their respective institutions, no matter what the cost.
