UPDATE 12:00 AM ET: WATCH VIDEO OF OBAMA'S ANNOUNCEMENT
Just turn on your TV. It's supposed to be on all the networks. Much speculation going on. I'm hoping for some good news. Bets seem to be on the capture or death of bin Laden. News outlets are saying Obama's announcement isn't about Libya.
Update: news outlets are now starting to confirm bin Laden is dead. Still waiting on the announcement.
Update 10:48 pm ET: David Gregory at NBC just announced bin Laden is dead. Obama will give details.
Update: 11 PM ET: NBC's Luke Russert said Biden called Cantor and gave him the news.
Update 11:20: Some already saying that this just happened to have happened on Obama's watch. Can't we just be united Americans for one night?
Update: 11:46 pm ET: Obama determined last week there was enough intelligence to get bin Laden. There was a fire fight, which killed bin Laden. Obama reminded everyone that we are not and never will be at war with Islam.
George W. Bush has made a statement. In part, he called it a "momentous achievement" that "marks a victory for America," according to CBS's Mark Knoller. Obama spoke to GWB tonight. Knoller also reports that Hillary Clinton, Leon Panetta, Adm. Mike Mullen and Biden were in the East Room tonight.
